Kyle Marker- Modern Musician

Kyle Marker is an established and versatile performer and educator that has been active in the greater Metro Detroit area for over a decade. As an educator he has taught students between the ages of 5 and 75 in subjects such as classical and contemporary guitar, music theory, composition/songwriting, and additional instruments such as the piano, bass guitar, and ukulele. He has performed at weddings and other social events as a solo artist and in duos and trios. In bands he has performed at venues such as the Magic Stick in Detroit and the Emerald Theatre in Mt. Clemens. In 2012 his band, The Deals, were the winners of the Detroit Blues Society Youth Blues Competition and had the fantastic opportunity of traveling to Memphis and performed on Beale Street as part of the International Blues Festival. He has worked as a session musician for the group Null Paradox. Additionally he has performed in masterclasses for GFA winners Rovshan Mamedkuliev and Anton Baranov. He graduated cum laude from Oakland University in 2014 with a Bachelors of Instrumental Performance and he is currently pursuing a second Bachelor’s degree in Music Technology.
